$21/hour — higher pay based on experience and qualifications Route 33 Eye Care & Optical Boutique is looking for a friendly, confident, and patient-focused Optician to join our team in beautiful St. Michaels, Maryland. We are a small, independent optometry practice with a boutique optical, and we take pride in providing personalized service, quality eyewear, and an exceptional patient experience.

•5:30 PM Approximately 31.5 hours per week No weekends The Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who is comfortable and confident selling premium eyewear and enjoys helping patients find frames and lenses that fit both their visual needs and personal style. Our optical offers eyewear ranging from approximately $200

•2,000+ , including premium brands such as: Maui Jim OVVO Tom Ford Gucci Burberry Saint Laurent The right candidate should be comfortable discussing premium frame and lens options, explaining the value of different products, and helping patients feel confident in their eyewear investment. Responsibilities Provide personalized eyewear styling and recommendations Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on vision needs, lifestyle, and personal style Confidently sell premium eyewear in the $200

•2,000+ range Educate patients about lens designs, materials, coatings, and premium options Take accurate optical measurements Perform frame fittings, adjustments, and repairs Assist patients with understanding their vision insurance benefits Receive, inspect, and dispense completed eyewear Communicate with optical laboratories and vendors Follow up with patients regarding orders Maintain an organized, attractive, and welcoming boutique optical Provide exceptional customer service from beginning to end Qualifications Previous optical or optician experience preferred Experience with premium or luxury eyewear sales strongly preferred ABO certification/licensure is a plus but not required Confident, personable, and comfortable discussing price and product value Strong sales and customer service skills Detail-oriented and organized Professional appearance and communication Ability to work independently and as part of a small team Must enjoy building relationships with patients and providing personalized service What We Offer Starting at $21/hour — higher rate based on experience Performance-based bonus opportunities Consistent 4-day schedule No weekends Employee eyewear discounts Supportive, friendly work environment Opportunity to grow with an independent, locally owned practice Beautiful boutique optical in St. Michaels, MD If you are an experienced optician who loves eyewear, enjoys working with people, and is confident selling premium products, we'd love to meet you!
