As a Front Desk / Optician, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and support throughout their visit. Your responsibilities will include managing front desk operations, assisting with eyewear selection, and ensuring a smooth patient experience.
Front Desk Duties:
Greet and check in patients, ensuring accurate information collection. Schedule and confirm appointments. Handle insurance verifications and process payments. Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries promptly.
Optician Duties:
Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear that suits their style and prescription needs. Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses and ensure proper fit. Educate patients on lens options and care instructions. Make adjustments to glasses to fit the patient's face properly. Some sales required. Qualifications Previous experience in an optometric or medical office preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask. While previous optician experience is not required, it would be helpful. This position will require some sales as well as making adjustments to glasses. Willing to train the right candidate. The candidate should be very flexible in their days/times worked. It will be fairly consistent on a week to week basis, but days/times worked could change on occasion for fill in needed from other employee's time off. Must be available Monday through Thursday daytime hours. Most weeks will consist of Tuesday and Wednesday only, but other weeks may need additional days covered. Weekly hours will vary between 8 - 33 hours, with an average of 16 hours weekly (but not guaranteed).
