Full-time Optician position needed for a busy private group optometry office. Wage is based on experience and certification. Full-time health benefits and retirement plans are available. Schedule is a 4-day workweek with no Weekends. EHR knowledge preferred. Bilingual preferred, but not required. Experience as an Optician required. Knowledge of filing VSP and Eyemed claims required. Duties include but are not limited to: Frame selection, fitting, and sales; Frame repair and adjustments; Comprehensive lens knowledge; Digital progressives; Blue light technology; Anti-glare; EHR frame and lens ordering; Obtaining insurance verification, billing and coding; Medical insurance billing and coding; Neutralizing prescriptions; Lens edging and finishing; Order, check-in and verify prescription and complete Patient notifications; Taking patient payments; Frame inventory maintenance; Completing product warranties.
