• Overview:

• We are seeking a skilled Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for eye care and providing exceptional service to our patients. Looking for a part-time individual. Minimum availability of Wednesdays from 10
• 7:30 and Saturdays from 8
• 2 will be required as part of the scheduling needs.

• Duties:

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear that meets their prescription requirements and style preferences
• Take accurate measurements for eyeglasses
• Adjust and repair eyewear as needed
• Educate patients on proper eyewear care and usage
• Work closely with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
• Maintain inventory of frames
• Assist with sales of contact lenses

• Skills:

• Minimum 1 year of previous experience working as an optician
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient information confidentiality
• Familiarity with insurances and understanding both vision and medical insurance benefits
• Ability to take various optical measurements and understand how to make frame recommendations based on individual prescriptions
