The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear, ensuring they receive the best possible vision care. This role requires a strong understanding of optical products, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Duties Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their needs and preferences. Conduct measurements for eyeglasses, including pupillary distance and segment height. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and proper eyewear care. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with optometrists to ensure seamless patient care and follow-up. Manage inventory of eyewear products and supplies, including ordering and restocking as necessary. Utilize retail math to process transactions accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service to enhance patient satisfaction and loyalty. Skills Proficiency in medical terminology related to eye care and optics. Knowledge of retail math principles for effective sales transactions. Familiarity with Epic or similar electronic health record systems is a plus. Understanding of HIPAA regulations to maintain patient confidentiality. Strong sales skills to effectively promote eyewear products. Experience with aseptic techniques in a clinical setting is beneficial. Knowledge of pediatric eye care practices is an advantage. Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to vision care. Experience working with senior care populations is preferred.
