Job Description

Deliver impactful care and support to students as a school-based Physical Therapist in the vibrant South Lyon area. In this contract position, you'll collaborate with educational teams and families to help students access the curriculum and thrive physically and academically. With a start date as early as December, this rewarding part-time opportunity empowers you to make a daily difference.
Key Qualifications:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a school or pediatric setting Ability to assess, design, and implement individualized physical therapy plans Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, teachers, and parents Flexible, adaptable, and collaborative approach to supporting diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
Evaluate students to determine motor development, mobility, and physical needs impacting school participation Develop and deliver customized therapy sessions based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and school goals Work with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support students' educational and functional objectives Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all services, progress notes, and required reports Educate staff and families on mobility strategies, adaptive equipment, and integrating therapy techniques in the classroom Contribute expertise to IEP meetings and collaborate on student progress Embrace a flexible part-time schedule and the satisfaction of supporting student growth in a dynamic educational community.
