An Optician fits eyeglasses and contact lenses according to prescriptions written by optometrists and ophthalmologists. Helps customers choose eyeglass frames and contact lenses, and repairs or refits broken frames. Works in the office of an optometrist or physician, or in a store that sells eyeglasses.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Assist customers in selecting and fitting eyewear based on their prescription and style preferences
- Take accurate measurements of customers' eyes and facial features to ensure proper fit of eyewear
- Educate customers on lens options, coatings, and other enhancements to meet their visual needs
- Process orders for eyewear, including verifying insurance coverage and handling vision billing
- Maintain accurate and organized records of customer prescriptions and orders
- Collaborate with optometrists to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire eyewear selection process
Qualifications:
(Not Required, we can train as needed)- Previous experience in a retail or medical setting is preferred
- Knowledge of RevolutionEHR
- Familiarity with medical billing processes and insurance coverage for eyewear
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the dispensing area
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise measurements
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy
