We're looking for an experienced optician who wants more than just another optical job. We offer a competitive hourly wage based on experience. Candidates with significant optical experience and advanced dispensing, troubleshooting, sales, and patient-service skills will be considered for the upper end of the range. What You'll Do We're looking for someone who is already comfortable with the fundamentals of optical dispensing and can confidently: Guide patients through frame and lens selection based on their prescription, lifestyle, appearance, and budget Recommend lens options and eyewear solutions rather than simply taking an order Take accurate measurements and ensure eyewear is properly fitted Adjust, troubleshoot, and resolve eyewear concerns Understand vision plans and clearly explain benefits and patient responsibility Accurately calculate and collect patient balances Deliver the kind of personal service that keeps patients coming back Help maintain an attractive, well-merchandised optical Contribute ideas about frame lines, styles, products, and opportunities to improve the patient experience Why Nova Eye Care? Who We're Looking For The right person for this position is someone who: Has at least 2 years of optical experience Understands both the technical and customer-service sides of being an optician Is confident recommending and selling quality eyewear Takes pride in accuracy and attention to detail Enjoys working directly with patients and helping them find eyewear they love Can work independently while also being a strong member of a team Wants to build a career with an established independent practice Optician certification is welcomed but is not required if you have strong hands-on optical experience.
