You will assist in selecting, fitting, and dispensing eyewear, while adhering to all health regulation policies and maintaining clinical confidentiality. Duties Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear by understanding their needs, preferences, and prescriptions. Dispense spectacle lenses and fit eyewear frames accurately, ensuring comfort and proper alignment. Conduct eyewear adjustments and perform frame repairs to maintain optimal fit and functionality. Manage patient records using EMR/EHR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and medical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about products, insurance coverage, and health regulations policies. Support retail sales efforts through inventory management, POS system operations, and promoting eyewear products. Qualifications Proven experience in optical settings or retail optometry environments with knowledge of optics and ophthalmology principles. Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical confidentiality policies, and health regulation policies including HIPAA. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology related to vision, vital signs measurement, and basic math skills for calculations. Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Revolution EHR or similar platforms; experience with POS systems preferred. Excellent customer service skills combined with retail management experience to engage clients effectively. Knowledge of state healthcare regulations, medical billing procedures, medical coding, and aseptic techniques for clinical procedures.
