Job Overview Join our team as an Optician, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and vision health. In this vital role, you will assist patients in selecting the perfect eyewear, perform comprehensive eye assessments, and support clinical staff with essential optical and medical procedures. Your passion for eye health and exceptional customer service will help us deliver outstanding experiences to diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care. Duties Assist patients in choosing eyewear that fits their prescription, style preferences, and lifestyle needs, ensuring a positive retail experience. Conduct preliminary eye examinations, including measuring vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse, and performing basic visual acuity tests. Support ophthalmology and clinic staff with laboratory procedures, including lens fitting, frame adjustments, and optical measurements using advanced EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like NexTech. Maintain accurate medical records while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Prepare and process medical billing and coding documentation for insurance claims related to optical services. Manage retail sales of eyewear products while applying retail math skills to meet sales goals and optimize inventory management. Qualifications Proven experience in optical settings with a strong understanding of optical products and lab experience preferred. Familiarity with EMR systems such as NexTech or similar platforms used in clinics for documentation and scheduling. Strong communication skills Experience working within HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and data security. Basic understanding of medical billing processes related to vision care services. Pay:
$25.66 - $30.91 per hour
