Overview Join our optical team as an Optician/Frame Stylist, where your passion for eyewear and dedication to exceptional customer service will shine! In this vibrant role, you will assist customers in selecting the perfect frames, dispense spectacle lenses, and provide expert fittings to ensure optimal comfort and vision. Duties Greet customers warmly and assess their eyewear needs through active listening and personalized consultations Dispense spectacle lenses accurately, ensuring proper fit and alignment through precise eyewear adjustments Assist customers with selecting frames that complement their style and face shape, providing expert advice on frame materials and features Conduct eyewear fittings, including measuring pupillary distance (PD) and adjusting frames for comfort and durability Maintain knowledge of ophthalmology procedures, medical records, EMR/EHR systems, and health regulation policies to ensure compliance with HIPAA and state healthcare regulations Support laboratory processes by assisting with spectacle lens ordering, repairs, and optical laboratory experience tasks such as lens edging or coating applications Qualifications Prior retail sales experience with a focus on eyewear or optical products is highly preferred Experience with spectacle lens dispensing, eyewear fittings, frame adjustment, and laboratory processes is desirable Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as NexTech Ability to perform basic math calculations for prescriptions, measurements, and financial transactions Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional demeanor!!! (this is a must!) Reliability is a must! Knowledge of health regulation policies including HIPAA compliance and clinical confidentiality standards Strong organizational skills, medical coding a plus, billing procedures a plus!!
