Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical services, providing exceptional customer care while assisting patients in selecting and fitting eyewear. The role requires a blend of technical skills and retail expertise to ensure a positive experience for our clients. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their needs and preferences. Perform fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses. Maintain knowledge of current optical products, trends, and technologies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations while handling patient information. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals in a clinical setting. Manage inventory of optical products and assist in retail sales operations. Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance. Utilize aseptic techniques when necessary to ensure patient safety. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent. Strong understanding of retail management principles and retail sales experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to patients. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for managing patient records and inventory. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
