Optometric Assistant / Optician Golden Eyes Optometry - Henderson, NV Full-Time | In-Person Golden Eyes Optometry is seeking an experienced Optometric Assistant / Optician who is comfortable working on both the clinical and optical sides of a private optometry practice. We are looking for someone with strong patient-service skills who understands needs-based prescribing , learning about a patient's work, computer use, driving, hobbies, and visual concerns, then helping recommend eyewear based on those needs and the doctor's recommendations. Responsibilities Perform optometric pretesting and assist with patient flow Document accurately in RevolutionEHR Perform OCT, retinal photography, visual fields, topography, tonometry, and other diagnostic testing Assist with contact lens patients Help patients select appropriate frames and lenses Take accurate PDs, fitting heights, and optical measurements Understand progressive, single-vision, computer/occupational, anti-fatigue, and driving lenses Adjust, dispense, repair, and troubleshoot eyewear Explain lens recommendations clearly and confidently Understand vision insurance benefits Provide excellent phone and in-person customer service Ideal Candidate 2+ years receptionist/technician/opticianry experience preferred Optometry or ophthalmology experience preferred RevolutionEHR experience is a plus Comfortable with pretesting and diagnostic equipment Strong knowledge of lens designs and frame fitting Dependable with consistent attendance Professional, friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Able to work effectively in a small private-practice environment
