As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in helping patients select and fit eyewear, ensuring they receive the best possible vision correction solutions tailored to their needs. Salary depends upon experience. No license is required. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs. Measure patients' facial features to ensure proper fitting of glasses and contact lenses. Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frame styles to enhance their vision experience. Maintain inventory of eyewear products and ensure the display is visually appealing. Perform adjustments and repairs on eyewear as necessary. Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and advancements in optical technology. Requirements Proven experience in retail management or sales, preferably within an optical or healthcare setting. Knowledge of ophthalmology, anatomy, and physiology related to vision care. Familiarity with tools and techniques used in eyewear fitting and adjustments. Experience with electronic health record systems such as Revolution EHR is a plus. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinic environment while maintaining attention to detail.
