Job Overview We are a busy, patient-focused optometry practice seeking an experienced Optician to join our team. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with patients, provides excellent customer service, and can comfortably shift between responsibilities as the needs of the optical department change throughout the day. This is a full-time position with a consistent weekday schedule and no weekends. Responsibilities As an Optician, you will help guide patients through the process of selecting and purchasing eyewear while also helping keep the optical department organized and running smoothly.

Responsibilities include:

Assisting patients with selecting frames and eyewear that fit their needs, preferences, and budget Reviewing lens options and making appropriate recommendations Reviewing vision insurance benefits with patients Providing and explaining pricing for frames, lenses, and other eyewear options Performing frame adjustments and minor repairs Restocking frames and maintaining optical inventory Completing quality control inspections on incoming eyewear orders Notifying patients when their glasses or other optical orders are ready Assisting patients with eyewear pickup and final adjustments Maintaining an organized, clean, and showroom-ready optical department Helping with other optical and office tasks as needed during slower or busier periods What We're Looking For Previous experience working in an optometry office is required | Previous experience working in an optical is highly preferred.

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience working as an optician or in an optical setting Strong customer service and communication skills Experience working with vision insurance benefits and explaining patient costs Confidence assisting patients with frame selection and eyewear recommendations Experience performing frame adjustments Strong attention to detail, particularly when inspecting completed eyewear The ability to stay organized and manage multiple responsibilities A positive, team-oriented attitude Flexibility and willingness to help where needed

Pay:

$16.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
