Depending on experience, pay can be negotiated. Responsibilities Greet patients warmly, verify appointment details, and assist with check-in procedures using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems such as Epic or similar platforms Manage patient flow by scheduling appointments, confirming insurance coverage, and collecting necessary documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Answer phone inquiries promptly, directing calls appropriately and providing information about services offered Maintain accurate medical records, including ophthalmology-specific data such as vital signs, medical history, and laboratory results Support optical services by assisting with laboratory experience tasks like lens measurements and basic optical adjustments Process medical billing and coding related to eye care procedures, ensuring accuracy and compliance with healthcare standards Uphold aseptic techniques during patient interactions and maintain a clean, organized reception area aligned with clinic protocols Skills Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy and data security at all times Retail sales experience combined with retail math skills to promote optical products confidently and accurately Ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and senior care clients
