Optician / Frame Stylist Full-time | Monday-Friday | No nights | No weekends | On-the-job training available Have an eye for style? Love helping people find something they feel great wearing? You may be a great optician and not even know it yet. Spring Hill Eyecare is looking for a full-time Optician / Frame Stylist to join our optical team. We're open to both experienced opticians and people completely new to the optical field. If you have the right personality, work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to connect with people, we can teach you the optical part. If you currently work in retail sales, customer service, fashion, boutique retail, jewelry, cosmetics, hospitality, healthcare, or another people-focused position , your experience may translate very well to a career in optical. Optical is a unique mix of healthcare, fashion, technology, problem-solving, and customer service. You'll help patients take the prescription their doctor gives them and turn it into eyewear that helps them see well, fits properly, works for their lifestyle, and looks great. And here's a benefit that's getting harder to find in retail: No nights. No weekends. Our office hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM. What does an Optician / Frame Stylist do? You'll work one-on-one with patients to help them choose eyewear based on their prescription, visual needs, lifestyle, face shape, fit, and personal style. Some days you may help someone choose their first pair of glasses. Other times you'll help a longtime glasses wearer find something completely different, explain why one lens design may work better for their prescription, take precise measurements, adjust a frame for the right fit, or solve a problem with a pair of glasses that isn't working the way it should.

Your responsibilities will include:

Helping patients select eyeglass frames that fit properly and match their personal style Educating patients about lens options, materials, coatings, and other lens features based on their prescription and needs Taking accurate measurements needed to manufacture prescription eyewear Reviewing and processing eyewear orders Explaining pricing and helping patients understand their eyewear options Documenting information accurately in the patient's record Fitting, adjusting, and troubleshooting eyewear Learning the technical side of lenses, prescriptions, frame measurements, and optical products Providing excellent patient care and customer service from beginning to end Working closely with our doctors and the rest of the Spring Hill Eyecare team Already an experienced optician? Great. We'd love someone who can bring optical knowledge and experience to our team. No optical experience? That's okay too. We are willing to train the right person from the ground up. This can be a great opportunity for someone interested in an optician apprenticeship or a new career in optical. Who are we looking for? Optical knowledge can be taught. Some things are harder to teach. We're looking for someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with people Has a warm, outgoing, and confident personality Has strong customer service skills Can make recommendations without being pushy Notices the little details Learns quickly and wants to keep learning Is dependable and has a strong work ethic Can stay organized in a busy environment Is comfortable using computers and learning new technology Can problem-solve and think independently Works well as part of a team Communicates clearly and professionally Can stay composed and friendly when things get busy Experience in optical, eyewear, retail sales, fashion retail, boutique retail, jewelry, cosmetics, hospitality, healthcare, sales, or customer service is a plus, but prior optical experience is not required. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Strong communication and customer service skills Basic computer proficiency Ability and willingness to learn the technical aspects of optical Ability to work our full-time Monday-Friday schedule No prior optician experience is required.
