Full or Part-Time Lead Optician Benefits and bonus incentives New, modern full-scope medical eye care clinic Providing exceptional concierge-like care in an upscale office environment Experience with glasses and contact lens sales as well as optical experience strongly preferred Friday 9-3, Saturday 9-1 = Required We are a new private practice located in the Fair Oaks/Boerne (North San Antonio) area. Our practice will focus on full-scope medical eye care, dry eye services, myopia management, and ocular diseases. We will also provide tailored eyewear services to our patients in our boutique optical. - Assisting patients frame styling eye wear based on the understanding of optics and patient's prescription, aesthetics, hobbies/functionality, and other vision requirements.
- Take accurate measurements by using manual techniques and pupillometer to ensure proper fit and comfort of eyewear.
- Educate patients on lens options, coatings, and frames to help them make informed decisions.
- Adjust and repair eyewear as needed to ensure proper fit and functionality.
- Process orders for eyewear, including verifying insurance coverage, submitting claims, and coordinating with labs for lens production.
- Maintain accurate records of patients prescriptions, orders, and payments.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Be able to schedule patients, describe our services and products we offer, verify, and explain insurance benefits, set proper recall appointments and reminders.
- Assist in local health fairs and events, as well as dedicating time to travel and market our office and services to local businesses and other subspecialties in the area
Experience:
- Previous experience as an Optician.
- Knowledge of retail math and systems for inventory management and sales tracking.
- Familiarity with retail management practices to effectively manage the optical department.
- Understanding of aseptic technique for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the dispensing area.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as Crystal PM for medical billing and medical records management.
