Part-Time Optician / Front Desk Support Specialist Join our dynamic team as a Part-Time Optician / Front Desk Support Specialist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care experiences to our patients. TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio are looking for a friendly, dependable, patient-focused team member with a great personality to join our growing optometry practice. This is a cross-trained part-time position supporting both the front desk and optical departments. The primary focus will vary based on office needs, and the role will work between our TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio locations, up to 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

Welcoming patients and checking them in and out Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and assisting with patient questions Verifying insurance eligibility and benefits Collecting copays and balances Maintaining accurate patient information and supporting daily office flow Assisting patients with frame selection, eyewear pickup, adjustments, and repairs Helping track and organize optical orders Supporting the optician during busy periods Keeping front desk and optical areas clean, organized, and welcoming Providing coverage wherever needed to ensure an exceptional patient experience The ideal candidate: Has a warm, professional, outgoing personality Enjoys helping people and provides excellent customer service Is dependable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities Is comfortable learning both front-desk and optical responsibilities Is willing and able to work at both TSO Fair Oaks and Eyes of San Antonio Experience in optometry, optical, healthcare, front desk, or customer service is preferred, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who brings a great personality, reliability, strong customer-service skills, and a willingness to learn. This is a part-time position, scheduled up to 30 hours per week. Availability to work at both office locations is required.

Pay:

$15.00 - $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 1.0 - 30.0 per week
