is an independent optometric practice in Richardson, TX. Our optometric care team is professional, patient-centric and prides itself in wonderful customer service.

Modern office setting, Relaxed atmosphere, Growth opportunities We are searching for the right optometric front desk coordinator to join our team. The successful applicant must be caring, with a passion for helping patients. Prior optometric experience is a plus, but not necessary. The right candidate must be friendly, professional, courteous, detail-oriented, great at multitasking and capable of working independently. Prior experience with multi-doctor offices is a plus! We are looking for the right candidate to join our team! Our clinic is dedicated to providing the best patient care and we are looking for compassionate employees that are looking to help us achieve that in our office. Do NOT apply if you are just looking for a job. This job requires some Saturday hours with a full day off during the week. Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient check-ins efficiently.
  • Must be able to handle heavy phone load and be able to schedule and reschedule patients on short notice. Must be able to fill the schedule and keep up with recalls and cancellations.
  • Verify insurance information and process payments accurately.
  • Utilize EMR systems to update patient records and maintain confidentiality.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care. Qualifications
  • Optometry/ Ophthalmology knowledge
  • Medical office experience
  • Physiology and anatomy knowledge
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Previous optical experience
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations
  • Ability to handle front desk duties efficiently
  • Proficiency in using EMR systems
  • preferably Revolution EHR is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medical coding and billing
  • Prior experience in patient care
