Job Description

Optician/Front Desk/Technician Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and personable Optician, Front Desk, and Technician to join our optical practice. This multifaceted role combines customer service, eyewear dispensing, fittings, and administrative responsibilities to ensure a seamless experience for our patients. The ideal candidate will have retail optometry experience and a strong commitment to providing exceptional service in a professional environment. This position offers an engaging opportunity to work closely with patients and contribute to their vision health. Duties Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering inquiries, and assisting with their optical needs Dispense spectacle lenses accurately according to prescriptions and patient preferences Assist patients with eyewear fittings, ensuring comfort and proper alignment Perform eyewear frame adjustments and repairs to ensure optimal fit and appearance Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, handling patient check-ins and check-outs, and maintaining patient records Support retail optometry activities by educating patients on eyewear options and lens features Maintain cleanliness and organization of the optical area, ensuring compliance with safety standards Collaborate with the optometry team to deliver comprehensive eye care services Requirements Proven retail optometry experience or background in an optical setting Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to accurately dispense spectacle lenses and assist with eyewear fittings and adjustments Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members Detail-oriented with good organizational skills for managing appointments and records Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Basic knowledge of optical products, lens types, and frame styles is preferred Flexibility to adapt to various roles within the practice as needed Join our team if you are passionate about helping people see better while providing outstanding service in a dynamic optical environment.
