The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in ophthalmology and optical services, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. As an Optician, you will play a crucial role in assisting patients with their eyewear needs, ensuring they receive the best possible solutions for their vision requirements. Duties Assist patients in selecting eyeglasses and contact lenses based on their prescriptions and personal preferences. Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyewear to ensure proper fit and comfort. Provide education to patients on the proper care and use of eyewear products. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory and assist in sales transactions effectively. Stay updated on medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and aseptic techniques relevant to the optical field. Support senior care initiatives by providing specialized optical services tailored to elderly patients. Experience Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar role within a clinic or retail environment is required. Licensed Optician preferred. Familiarity with ophthalmology practices and optical equipment is essential. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality is required.
