Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Optician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in optical services, providing exceptional patient care while assisting with the selection and fitting of eyewear. This role requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to ensure that patients receive the best possible experience in our clinic. Responsibilities Assist patients in selecting appropriate eyewear based on their prescription and lifestyle needs. Conduct fittings and adjustments of eyeglasses and contact lenses to ensure proper fit and comfort. Maintain accurate medical records for each patient, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Utilize retail math to manage inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Provide education to patients regarding proper eyewear care and usage. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Apply aseptic techniques when handling medical equipment and supplies. Stay updated on the latest optical technology, trends, and products to provide informed recommendations. Qualifications Previous experience in an optical setting or related field is preferred. Knowledge of physiology as it relates to vision care is a plus. Familiarity with medical billing processes and systems is advantageous. Experience working in clinics or senior care environments is beneficial. Strong understanding of laboratory procedures related to eyewear fabrication is desirable. Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks. Pay:
$15.00 - $22.00 per hour
