In this role, you will provide exceptional patient care, perform comprehensive eye examinations, and assist in the diagnosis and management of various ocular conditions. You will work closely with patients to ensure their eye health needs are met while maintaining a high standard of customer service. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations and assess visual acuity. Diagnose and manage ocular diseases and disorders. Provide appropriate treatment plans, including prescribing corrective lenses. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, vision correction options, and preventive care. Assist with medical coding and documentation for insurance purposes. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals as needed. Stay informed about advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Foster a positive patient experience through excellent customer service. Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution. Familiarity with medical coding practices and maintaining medical records. Excellent patient care skills with a focus on customer service. Understanding of physiology related to vision and eye health. Ability to perform vital sign assessments as part of patient evaluations. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Previous experience in a clinical setting is preferred but not mandatory.
