Responsibilities As an Associate Optometrist, you will: Provide comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages Perform accurate refractions and prescribe glasses as appropriate Fit and manage contact lenses Diagnose, manage, and treat common ocular conditions within California optometric scope Use advanced diagnostic tools to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans Educate patients clearly and professionally about their eye health and vision needs Collaborate with technicians, opticians, and front office staff to provide a smooth patient experience Occasionally assist with pretesting when needed, though most pretesting is handled by technicians Maintain accurate and timely patient records Qualifications California Optometry License required Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply Strong refraction skills and solid clinical judgment Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Comfortable working with patients of all ages Team-oriented, professional, and reliable Interest in providing high-quality, patient-centered care Job Types Full-time Part-time Temporary / Fill-in Benefits Flexible schedule Employee discount Vision insurance Professional development assistance
