Sunny Optometry is looking for a friendly, clinically confident Associate Optometrist to join our team. We do not double-book patients. Walk-ins are accepted only when an appointment slot is available, allowing doctors to provide thorough, patient-centered care without feeling rushed. What We Offer Supportive Clinical Team Technicians typically handle pretesting, and opticians manage optical-related tasks, allowing doctors to focus primarily on clinical care and patient relationships. Advanced Technology Our office uses modern diagnostic and treatment technology, including OCT, Optos, IPL, radiofrequency, and other tools to support high-quality patient care. Patient-Centered Scheduling No double-booking. Our scheduling approach is designed to support quality exams, good communication, and a smooth patient experience. Collaborative Culture Work with a skilled and professional team of technicians, opticians, and administrative staff in a supportive office environment. No Prior Credentialing Required Candidates do not need to be credentialed before applying. We will help guide the onboarding process as needed. Professional Growth We support continuing education, clinical growth, and professional development. Responsibilities As an Associate Optometrist, you will: Provide comprehensive eye exams for patients of all ages Perform accurate refractions and prescribe glasses as appropriate Fit and manage contact lenses Diagnose, manage, and treat common ocular conditions within California optometric scope Use advanced diagnostic tools to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans Educate patients clearly and professionally about their eye health and vision needs Collaborate with technicians, opticians, and front office staff to provide a smooth patient experience Occasionally assist with pretesting when needed, though most pretesting is handled by technicians Maintain accurate and timely patient records Qualifications California Optometry License required Minimum 1 year of experience preferred, but new graduates are welcome to apply Strong refraction skills and solid clinical judgment Excellent communication and patient interaction skills Comfortable working with patients of all ages Team-oriented, professional, and reliable Interest in providing high-quality, patient-centered care Job Types Full-time Part-time Temporary / Fill-in Benefits Flexible schedule Employee discount Vision insurance Professional development assistance
