Overview We are an independent 4 physician Opthamology Practice seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Optometrist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in ophthalmology, patient care, and medical diagnosis, with a passion for improving visual health and quality of life. As an Optometrist, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing eye conditions, and providing personalized treatment plans. Responsibilities Perform detailed ophthalmic examinations, including visual acuity testing, tonometry, and assessment of ocular health using ophthalmic diagnostic imaging equipment. Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions such as refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and other disease states related to ocular health. Conduct contact lens fittings and provide appropriate recommendations based on individual patient needs. Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient histories, examination findings, diagnoses, and treatment plans accurately. Educate patients on eye health, disease prevention, and treatment options while maintaining excellent client communication and customer service standards. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively while adhering to aseptic techniques and HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality. Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care management and refer patients to specialists when necessary. Requirements Doctor of Optometry Degree from an accredited institution. Valid licensure as an Optometrist with relevant state or regional certification. Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with proficiency in ophthalmic diagnosis and medical treatment knowledge. Proven clinical optometry experience in medical and retail office setting is desired. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for accurate record keeping and documentation. Knowledge of contact lens fitting procedures and patient education techniques. Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex medical information clearly to diverse patient populations.
