Optometrist Optimal Eyecare Saint Petersburg, FL Job Details Part-time | Full-time $675 - $1,080 a day 23 hours ago Qualifications Electronic health records (EHR) management Optometry License Health record tracking Ophthalmic patient examinations Managing patient records Liability insurance Full Job Description Optimal Eyecare is looking for a part-time optometrist to join our practice in St. Petersburg, Florida. Our practice is located minutes from the most beautiful beaches in the country. St. Petersburg has so much to offer including tons of water sports, restaurants and beauty. We are also located a short distance form Tampa bay, Clearwater and Orlando! Our office is fully equipped with a pre-test room that includes an up-to-date Optomap, FDT, NCT, auto-refractor and auto lensometer. There is a contact lens insertion & removal room with a wide variety of contact lens fit sets. There are two complete exam lanes and a private office for the Optometrist. Our optos conversion rate is 80-90%! The practice averages around 14-16 patients per day, which can vary during "snow bird season" and the summertime. We have a full-time office manager and multiple fully trained technicians to support you throughout your day. There are 2-3 technicians working each day who can run the front desk and work-up patients. There will be complete training on the EHR. Responsibilities Perform annual comprehensive eye exams Diagnose and treat eye diseases and medical emergencies Fit and prescribe soft contact lenses and rigid gas permeable lenses. Follow-ups are included with a 90-day period to finalize the prescription. Keep updated and accurate electronic medical records for all patients through our system, Eyefinity. The eye exam is performed using an iPad, which will be given to the optometrist. Referring to eye doctors and ophthalmologists when patients need to undergo a surgery or in cases of severe eye injuries Co-managing LASIK/PRK and cataract surgeries with multiple ophthalmologists in the area Requirements Degree and license in to practice optometry in Florida Liability insurance
