We'll provide the patients. Medical Director Services is growing and is seeking compassionate, motivated Optometrists (ODs) to provide comprehensive optometric care in Skilled Nursing Facilities throughout [STATE] . Whether you're looking for one day a week, several days a week, or a full-time schedule , we'll build a territory around your availability. We provide the patients, coordinate the schedule, and handle the billing—so you can focus on delivering exceptional patient care. Your Role You'll provide high-quality optometric care to residents in skilled nursing facilities, including: Comprehensive eye examinations Routine vision evaluations Diagnosis and management of common ocular conditions Evaluation of visual acuity and refractive needs Prescription of eyeglasses and other appropriate corrective measures Diabetic eye evaluations and monitoring Glaucoma and cataract screening and monitoring Assessment of ocular health and age-related vision changes Patient education and treatment recommendations Referral to ophthalmology or other specialists when medically necessary Documentation using facility EMR systems, including PointClickCare and SigmaCare Our operations team provides your daily schedule and patient list in advance, allowing you to focus on patient care rather than administrative tasks. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree from an accredited institution Active and unrestricted optometry license in the state of employment Excellent communication and patient care skills Reliable transportation to your assigned facilities Skilled Nursing Facility experience is a plus, but not required New graduates are encouraged to apply About Medical Director Services Founded in 2016, Medical Director Services partners with skilled nursing facilities to provide exceptional specialty care throughout the US.
