Full-Time Optometrist - Veterans Disability Exams | $800/Day | Columbus, GA Join a mission-driven team providing disability evaluations for U.S. Veterans in a structured, low-volume clinical setting. This is an examination-only position focused on completing comprehensive eye evaluations for Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA) disability claims. There is no treatment, prescribing, refractions, or follow-up care required. Schedule Full-time Monday - Friday Daytime schedule 1-5 Veteran exams per day No nights, weekends, or on-call responsibilities Compensation $800 per day Consistent Monday-Friday schedule Predictable patient volume Responsibilities Perform comprehensive eye examinations for Veterans Disability (C&P) evaluations Complete standardized electronic medical documentation Review medical history and conduct objective eye assessments No refractions, treatment, prescribing, or ongoing patient care Requirements Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree Active Georgia Optometry License Basic EMR proficiency Strong communication and documentation skills Professional and compassionate approach when working with Veterans Highlights Examination-only position No treatment or prescribing responsibilities No refractions Low patient volume (1-5 exams per day) Monday-Friday daytime schedule Administrative support provided Malpractice insurance covered Opportunity to make a meaningful impact by serving U.S.
