Medical Optometrist Opportunity | Growing MD/OD Practice in Scenic Idaho Our practice is growing quickly, and we are seeking an Optometrist to join our team as soon as possible. Due to increasing patient demand, our providers are at capacity and we are looking for an OD who is comfortable seeing a mix of routine vision and medical eye care patients. ClearView Eye Clinic is a well-established, physician-led ophthalmology and optometry practice with two locations serving the Lewiston and Moscow communities in beautiful Idaho. Our group is highly regarded by our patients, with a 4.9 out of 5 Google review rating from more than 1,500 reviews . This thriving 2 MD/1 OD practice continues to experience strong growth, creating an immediate opportunity for a motivated optometrist to step into a full schedule. Annual patient encounters exceed 17,000 , providing the opportunity to work with a broad range of patients and conditions, including comprehensive eye exams, ocular disease management, glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, and other medical eye conditions. The practice serves two unique markets located approximately 30 miles apart, giving it one of the broadest patient reaches of any ophthalmology practice in the region. Our Moscow location supports two culturally diverse university communities with a combined catchment area of nearly 60,000 patients . Our Lewiston location features a modern 9,500-square-foot medical office building completed in 2015, serving a valley community of approximately 50,000 residents , with a regional reach approaching 80,000 . The incoming optometrist will be supported by an experienced, friendly team dedicated to helping providers deliver exceptional patient care. Skilled technicians and scribes assist with patient workups and documentation, allowing the provider to stay focused on clinical care. Our practice utilizes an established EHR system and advanced diagnostic technology to provide efficient, high-quality care. The practice is both co-management friendly and referral-driven, with steady patient growth supported primarily by word of mouth, physician referrals, and community outreach.
Responsibilities Include:
Perform comprehensive eye examinations and evaluate overall ocular health Diagnose, manage, and monitor ocular diseases and conditions Provide medical eye care alongside routine vision care Perform refractions and prescribe glasses and contact lenses Utilize advanced diagnostic equipment and imaging technologies Document patient care accurately using our EHR system Educate patients on eye health, treatment plans, and preventative care Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers for coordinated patient management
Ideal Candidate:
Licensed Optometrist eligible to practice in Idaho Comfortable managing medical eye care patients and ocular disease Experience with diagnostic equipment and disease management preferred Strong communication skills and commitment to compassionate patient care Team-oriented provider who enjoys working in a collaborative MD/OD environment A competitive compensation package will be negotiated and includes medical and dental insurance, retirement plan with 401(k), profit sharing, and other benefits .
