This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your expertise in ophthalmology, optometry, and patient care to improve the quality of life for diverse patient populations. You will be responsible for comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient education, all within a supportive and innovative environment. Your clinical skills and compassionate approach will help us uphold our commitment to excellence in eye health. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools such as tonometry and medical equipment operation to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function Diagnose and treat a wide range of eye conditions including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, pediatrics-related issues, and other ocular diseases Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or recommend surgical interventions as appropriate for each patient's needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options to promote long-term visual wellness Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care plans, ensuring comprehensive treatment approaches Operate medical equipment such as slit lamps, tonometers, and other diagnostic tools with precision and aseptic technique to ensure safety and accuracy Requirements Valid licensure as an Optometrist or Ophthalmologist with relevant state certifications Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with knowledge of medical terminology and physiology related to eye health Familiarity with medical coding procedures for billing and insurance purposes Strong skills in patient care, customer service, and effective communication to foster trust and rapport with diverse populations including pediatrics Experience with EMR/EHR systems for documentation and record management Knowledge of anatomy related to the eye structure and physiology to accurately diagnose conditions Ability to operate medical equipment safely while maintaining aseptic technique standards Basic understanding of sales principles related to optical products or eyewear if applicable Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier eye care that transforms lives!
