We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist or Ophthalmologist to perform medical assessments for U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This non-treating role involves conducting comprehensive eye exams , including Visual Field Testing (VFT) , reviewing electronic medical records, and accurately documenting findings using a secure web portal. Key responsibilities include in-person disability assessments for Veterans, with a caseload of 4-6 per day, working part-time 3-4 days/week. The position provides equipment and requires proficiency in electronic documentation and technology. Qualifications include an active & unrestricted license in Optometry or Ophthalmology, experience with VFT, and strong analytical and time management skills.
