The ideal candidate will provide primary vision care, including comprehensive eye exams, diagnosis, and treatment of eye diseases, and vision correction prescriptions. Duties
  • Conduct comprehensive eye examinations
  • Diagnose and treat visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism
  • Detect eye diseases like glaucoma and macular degeneration
  • Prescribe eyeglasses, contact lenses, and other visual aids
  • Provide pre
  • and post-operative care to patients undergoing eye surgeries
  • Collaborate with ophthalmologists when surgical interventions are necessary
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record systems like Epic
  • Educate patients on proper eye care practices Requirements
  • Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited school of optometry
  • State licensure to practice optometry
  • Proficiency in conducting eye exams and diagnosing visual conditions
  • Knowledge of ocular physiology and anatomy
  • Familiarity with medical records management and HIPAA regulations
  • Experience with optical sales and patient care
  • Understanding of aseptic techniques in an optometric setting
