Job Description

Job Summary Eyewellniss is currently seeking an optometrist to fill in at our Livingston and Totowa locations in New Jersey. Our physicians and their support staff work as a team to provide patients with a personalized experience, leveraging today's technological advances. Our professionals treat and monitor most ocular diseases and eye injuries and co-manage surgical aftercare with local ophthalmologists.
  • Qualifications:
    Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited optometry school, and a valid NJ license to practice optometry.
  • Rate of Pay:
    $650
  • 750 on Weekdays and $750
  • $850 on Saturdays per diem, dependent on location.
we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive eye care services, including vision assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans. Your expertise will help improve patients' quality of life by ensuring optimal visual health and addressing a wide range of ocular conditions. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations utilizing advanced diagnostic tools to assess visual acuity, ocular health, and overall eye function. Diagnose and manage common eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, refractive errors, and ocular infections. Prescribe corrective lenses and recommend appropriate treatments or interventions tailored to each patient's needs. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) or Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on eye health, proper contact lens care, and preventive measures to promote long-term ocular wellness. Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals on complex cases requiring specialized ophthalmology expertise. Stay current with advancements in ophthalmology, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to provide the highest standard of care. Qualifications Valid state licensure as an Optometrist with eligibility to practice in the designated area. Proven experience in optical settings with a strong understanding of optical products and patient care procedures. Knowledge of ophthalmology principles, anatomy of the eye, physiology, and medical coding practices related to eye care services. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for efficient documentation and record management. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately. Experience working with pediatric patients (pediatrics) is preferred to effectively serve diverse age groups.
