Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as an Optometrist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive eye care services to diverse patient populations. Your expertise will help improve vision health, diagnose ocular conditions, and deliver personalized patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your ophthalmology knowledge and optical experience to make a meaningful difference in patients' lives while working with cutting-edge EMR (Electronic Medical Record) and EHR (Electronic Health Record) systems. Duties Conduct thorough eye examinations, including visual acuity tests, refraction assessments, and ocular health evaluations Diagnose and manage eye conditions such as glaucoma, cataracts, and other ophthalmologic issues using advanced diagnostic tools Prescribe corrective lenses and contact lenses tailored to individual patient needs Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and medical coding standards Educate patients on eye health, preventive care, and treatment options, ensuring clear understanding of medical terminology Collaborate with ophthalmologists and other healthcare professionals on complex cases requiring specialized intervention Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently to document patient visits, treatment plans, vital signs, and follow-up care Experience Proven experience in ophthalmology or optometry practice with a strong foundation in eye anatomy and physiology Hands-on optical experience with fitting and adjusting eyewear and contact lenses Knowledge of pediatric eye care to effectively serve children and adolescents Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye health and general medicine practices Experience working with medical records management systems that ensure HIPAA compliance Ability to perform basic clinical procedures such as measuring vital signs and applying aseptic techniques during examinations Strong customer service skills combined with sales acumen for recommending appropriate eyewear solutions and accessories Join us if you are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care, possess a keen understanding of anatomy and physiology, and thrive in a collaborative healthcare environment. Pay:
$128,391.45 - $154,621.95 per year
