Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Optometrist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive eye care services, including vision examinations, diagnosis of eye diseases, and prescribing corrective lenses. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity and diagnose ocular conditions. Prescribe corrective lenses and other treatments as necessary. Maintain accurate medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on proper eye care and the use of prescribed eyewear. Collaborate with optical staff to ensure seamless patient service and satisfaction. Stay updated on advancements in optometry practices and technologies. Perform necessary tests, including vital signs assessments, to support diagnosis. Utilize aseptic techniques during procedures to ensure patient safety. Skills Strong knowledge of optical systems and medical terminology relevant to eye care. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients. Familiarity with anatomy knowledge related to the visual system. Experience in managing medical records efficiently while adhering to confidentiality standards. Sales skills are beneficial for promoting eyewear products and services. Ability to perform vital signs assessments as part of routine examinations.
