New Mexico Location:
Statewide NM (Albuquerque, Santa Fe, Farmington, Gallup, Taos, Las Cruces, Roswell)
Schedule:
2-4 weekdays per month (Wed/Thu/Fri)
Compensation:
$1,200 per diem

Independent Contractor (1099) About The Opportunity Comprehensive Mobile Care (CMC) is seeking a Part-Time Optometrist (OD) to deliver high-quality vision care across multiple New Mexico communities. This is a clinic-based role where you'll function as an extension of established outpatient teams serving senior populations. If you're looking for meaningful, mission-driven work with schedule consistency — without the overhead of running your own practice — this opportunity offers flexibility, autonomy, and full administrative support. Travel Expectations This is a traveling optometrist role. Candidates must be comfortable driving up to 4 hours to assigned clinic locations, which may include some or all of the following regions: Albuquerque Santa Fe Farmington Gallup Taos Las Cruces Roswell Mileage reimbursement is provided. The Setting This opportunity operates within a community-based outpatient clinic model: Full-time clinic staff on-site Organized scheduling and patient flow Coordinated, team-based care environment Value-based model focused on seniors CMC manages equipment, supplies, scheduling, and billing — allowing you to focus entirely on delivering high-quality vision care. What You'll Do Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions within your scope Prescribe corrective lenses and provide treatment recommendations Collaborate with clinic staff as part of an integrated care team Deliver patient-centered care in a structured outpatient setting What Makes This Different This is not a high-volume retail model. Our optometrists are integrated into established clinic environments and represent CMC directly within each partner location.
