Job Description
Binghamton Eye Associates is a well-established private practice serving a dedicated and growing patient base. We are looking for a full or part-time optometrist to help us provide quality eye care in an ethical and caring manner and someone eager to grow with us--building lasting relationships with patients and attributing to the continued long-term success of our practice. Whether through ophthalmology or optometry this practice has promoted state-of-the-art technology and the advance surgical procedures used in the science of saving, enhancing, and restoring eyesight. We have a supportive, experienced team to help you provide primary vision care, including Routine eye care, Pediatric eye care, and Contact lens services, along with the opportunity to treat and care for patients with ocular disease. We have a work-life balance with a Monday-Friday schedule, no evenings and no weekends! Our practice is located in Binghamton, NY; therefore, requiring a NY state license. Please contact our office manager, Lori McKinney, if you are interested in being a part of our team! 607-723-7586 Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose ocular conditions. Provide patient care by discussing treatment options and prescribing corrective lenses. Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize EMR and EHR systems for efficient patient management. Educate patients on eye health and preventive care, while demonstrating excellent customer service. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver optimal patient outcomes. Qualifications Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution Valid state optometry license Strong patient care and communication skills Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Proficiency in HIPAA regulations and medical record management Experience with EMR and EHR systems Familiarity with ophthalmology and pediatric optometry practices Customer service and sales experience in an optical setting
