Job Summary:

Seeking a patient-focused Optometrist to provide comprehensive eye exams, diagnose and manage ocular conditions, prescribe glasses/contact lenses, and co-manage surgical patients with ophthalmologists.

Responsibilities:

Perform comprehensive eye exams and vision assessments. Diagnose and manage ocular conditions and refractive errors. Prescribe glasses and contact lenses. Co-manage cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, retina, and dry eye patients. Conduct pre- and post-operative evaluations. Use OCT, visual fields, topography, and fundus imaging. Document patient care in the EHR. Educate patients and coordinate care with ophthalmologists.

Qualifications:

OD degree from an accredited institution. Current Texas Optometry License or eligibility. Experience with comprehensive eye exams, refraction, and contact lenses. Knowledge of cataract, glaucoma, LASIK, retina, and dry eye care. Proficiency with EHR and diagnostic equipment such as OCT and visual fields. Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ophthalmology experience preferred; residency training is a plus. #HC2026
