Medical Optometrist Opportunity | 4-Day Workweek | $175K-$200K Earning Potential | South Puget Sound, WA An established, physician-owned ophthalmology practice in the South Puget Sound region is seeking a full-time optometrist to join its collaborative MD/OD team. Primary needs are in Gig Harbor, University Place, and Puyallup , with flexibility to build a schedule across one or two locations based on the incoming doctor's preferences and commute. The practice offers a mix of comprehensive and medical optometry with direct access to specialists in glaucoma, retina, cornea, and oculoplastics. Optometrists are encouraged to grow clinically, with ophthalmologists available for collaboration, mentorship, and co-management. New providers typically begin seeing 12-20 patients per day while learning the practice and gradually build toward approximately 30 patients per day . Technicians perform refractions, and providers at full volume are supported by a dedicated scribe whenever possible. Schedule Four-day workweek Eight-hour clinical days No nights or weekends Flexible location mix throughout the South Puget Sound region Compensation & Benefits Typical total compensation of approximately $175,000-$190,000 , with high producers earning around $200,000 $120,000 guaranteed base salary Tiered production bonuses of 25%-30% based on collections Additional production credit for post-operative care and glasses rechecks Sign-on bonus Full employee health insurance coverage Dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 20 days
