In this role, you will work directly with patients to evaluate, modify, and fit therapeutic footwear, molded inserts, and off-the-shelf orthotic devices. The ideal candidate possesses a basic understanding of human anatomy, strong hand-eye coordination, and a passion for patient care. You will split your time between hands-on clinical fitting and essential back-office administrative operations.

No prior O&P certification is required! We will provide and pay for your hands-on training and coursework to become a Certified Pedorthist (C-Ped) and/or Certified Orthotic Fitter (CFo) . Medical Assistants (MAs) and healthcare administrative staff looking to expand their clinical skills are strongly encouraged to apply!
Key Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care:
Provide compassionate, hands-on care by measuring, fitting, heat-molding, and adjusting therapeutic footwear, inserts, and prefabricated orthoses. Educate patients on device wear-and-care schedules, proper foot hygiene, and break-in periods. Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and fitting areas between patient appointments. Document patient visits, fitting outcomes, and clinical notes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Administrative & Operations:
Assist with patient intake, check-in/check-out, answering phone inquiries, and scheduling appointments. Verify insurance benefits and assist with prior authorization documentation as needed.
Manage clinical inventory:
receiving, unpacking, logging incoming footwear/devices, and preparing outgoing shipments. Collaborate with our team and referring healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.
Qualifications & Skills Education/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, allied health role, or patient-facing service environment preferred.
Certifications:
Medical Assistant (MA) certification or background is a strong plus, but not required.
Key Skills:
Basic knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/biomechanics. Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first, empathetic attitude. Good manual dexterity and comfort working with basic hand tools, heat guns, or bench grinders (training provided). Strong attention to detail with administrative tasks, scheduling, and charting. Bilingual, Spanish speaking is desirable. What We Offer Fully paid training and tuition for Certified Pedorthist (C-Ped) / Certified Orthotic Fitter (CFo) certification coursework and exam fees.
