In this role, you will work directly with patients to evaluate, modify, and fit therapeutic footwear, molded inserts, and off-the-shelf orthotic devices. The ideal candidate possesses a basic understanding of human anatomy, strong hand-eye coordination, and a passion for patient care. You will split your time between hands-on clinical fitting and essential back-office administrative operations.

No prior O&P certification is required! We will provide and pay for your hands-on training and coursework to become a Certified Pedorthist (C-Ped) and/or Certified Orthotic Fitter (CFo) . Key Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care:

Provide compassionate, hands-on care by measuring, fitting, heat-molding, and adjusting therapeutic footwear, inserts, and prefabricated orthoses. Educate patients on device wear-and-care schedules, proper foot hygiene, and break-in periods. Maintain clean, organized treatment rooms and fitting areas between patient appointments. Document patient visits, fitting outcomes, and clinical notes accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Administrative & Operations:

Assist with patient intake, check-in/check-out, answering phone inquiries, and scheduling appointments. Verify insurance benefits and assist with prior authorization documentation as needed.

Manage clinical inventory:

receiving, unpacking, logging incoming footwear/devices, and preparing outgoing shipments. Collaborate with our team and referring healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care.

Qualifications & Skills Education/Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a medical office, allied health role, or patient-facing service environment preferred.

Certifications:

Medical Assistant (MA) certification or background is a strong plus, but not required.

Key Skills:

Basic knowledge of medical terminology and human anatomy/biomechanics. Strong interpersonal skills with a patient-first, empathetic attitude. Good manual dexterity and comfort working with basic hand tools, heat guns, or bench grinders (training provided). Strong attention to detail with administrative tasks, scheduling, and charting.
