Role:
Complete Orthopedic Services Inc. is looking for a skilled and compassionate Orthotic Fitter to join our team in East Meadow, NY, Flushing, NY, Bronx, NY. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in patients' lives by providing expert orthotic care and fitting services. Responsibilities:
Evaluate and fit patients with custom and prefabricated orthotic devices based on physician prescriptions Measure, fabricate, and modify orthoses to ensure proper fit, function, and patient comfort Educate patients on the proper use, care, and maintenance of orthotic devices Document patient assessments, fittings, and follow-up care accurately in patient records Collaborate with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to optimize patient outcomes Maintain inventory of orthotic supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed Ensure compliance with insurance billing requirements and obtain necessary authorizations
Requirements:
ABC or BOC certification as an Orthotic Fitter (OTR/L or CFo preferred) Prior experience in orthotics fitting, durable medical equipment (DME), or a related healthcare field Strong knowledge of lower and upper extremity orthoses, bracing, and support devices Excellent patient communication and customer service skills Ability to read and interpret physician prescriptions and clinical documentation Familiarity with insurance billing, coding, and prior authorization processes Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care
