A Paramedic may or may not perform some or all of these tasks, duties and responsibilities or may perform tasks, duties and responsibilities not listed. 1. Responsible for checking out vehicles and equipment on a daily basis and ensuring proper working order. 2. Responsible for the safe driving of the vehicle. 3. Responsible for maintaining all appropriate certifications. 4. Responsible for the knowledge of how to operate all equipment in the vehicle both BLS and ALS. 5. Responsible for attending to patients as the patient attendant during a transport and treating to the appropriate level of care necessary. 6. Responsible for filling out all required paperwork. 7. Responsible for the safe transportation of personnel and patients including patient belongings and required paperwork for that transport. 8. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of County Polices and Protocols. 9. Responsible for setting up ALS equipment and proper use as necessary with patient care. 10. Cleaning yard, empting garbage, cleaning kitchenette, sweeping, and other duties as may be assigned by a supervisor or manager. 11. Responsible for operating equipment such as issolettes and ventilators during transports of patients. 12. Other duties as assigned by a supervisor or management. 13. Must be able to carry up to 100lbs and able to carry patients up and down stairs on backboards, flats and stairchairs that weigh up to 200 pounds with a partner. Must be able to load the gurney into the ambulance with a 2501b patient The following are Minimum requirements for the position of "Paramedic". 1. Current California Paramedic License. 2. Current CPR card. 3. Current PALS or PEPP card 4. Current ACLS card 5. Current Driver's License (if driving) 6. Current Ambulance Driver's Certificate (if driving) 7. Current DMV Physical "green card" (if driving) 8. Initial County Accreditation requires PHTLS or BTLS. 9. All new employees will go through company orientation. 10. Must be legally eligible to maintain certification as a Paramedic in California and San Francisco. 11. Must be legally eligible to maintain employment in the U.S. and California
