Private in home, 1:1 Behavioral Support Specialist — EMT/Paramedic Background Welcomed Private in home high acuity caregiving Colorado Springs, CO Job Details Part-time $25.60 - $30.82 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid orientation Qualifications Heavy lifting Direct support Full Job Description This is an unusual 1:1 position supporting a highly mobile, physically strong adult male nonverbal individual with significant behavioral needs. We are looking for someone exceptionally calm, confident, observant and difficult to rattle. People with EMT/paramedic, emergency medicine, behavioral health, medic, DSP or similar backgrounds may be particularly well suited. Previous in-home caregiving experience is not necessarily required. The right person understands how to remain calm during escalation, read nonverbal cues, recognize when behavior may indicate pain or a medical problem, maintain safety without creating unnecessary confrontation, and build trust over time. You will be shadowed/ trained by parents and or someone who has been with this individual for 7 years.
Pay:
$25.60 - $30.82 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 20.0 per weekBenefits:
