Job Description

SUMMARY Hennepin Healthcare has a current opening for an EMS Instructor. This casual position work picking up day and evening shifts. Under general supervision, teach designated emergency medical care topics to members of local businesses, health care facilities, public safety agencies, and other organizations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Teach designated emergency medical care topics to members of local businesses, health care facilities, public safety agencies, and other organizations
  • Ability to teach skills, evaluate student performance and provide effective feedback with divergent student groups
  • Set-up and maintain instructional equipment as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Two (2) years of approved EMT or paramedic patient care experience in emergency medical care OR
  • Two (2) years of EMS education teaching
  • Certified as an EMT, Paramedic, or RN in the State of Minnesota from an accredited paramedic program or registered nursing program if applicable
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Current PHTLS and AMLS instructor certification by the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians
