Job Description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) in Bolivar, MO is hiring a Paramedic to join our team in the Emergency Medical Services Department! CMH is made up of 34 primary and specialty clinics, 6 long-term care facilities and 1 residential care facility. Offering acute care, emergency services, ambulatory care, pharmacies, walk-in clinics, surgeries, addiction recovery, rehab therapies and more, CMH has its community covered!

About the department:
CMH's Emergency Medical Services Department provides ambulance services to three counties in
Southwest Missouri:
Polk, Hickory and St. Clair. Services include 9-1-1 emergency response and non-emergency medical transport. Ambulances are equipped with advanced medical life support for adult and pediatric patients. CMH is recognized as a high-quality care provider for time-critical diagnosis with trauma, heart attack, stroke and sepsis care. Ambulances are staffed by EMTs and paramedics who are licensed and certified to provide exceptional and compassionate care.
A typical day will include:
Providing pre-hospital services utilizing equipment, supplies, and procedures appropriate to the ages of the patients served, including neonate, infant / pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations for the subsequent duties: Responds to emergency calls to provide treatment and care to patients of all ages Prepares and maintains ambulances, equipment, and inventory of supplies Assesses and determines scene safety, and/or utilizes community/organizational resources to assure scene safety Initiates advanced life support and makes an accurate initial assessment of patients' conditions Transports patients, utilizes other methods of transportation, or relinquishes patient care as per state guidelines and / or medical control Documents a complete assessment on each patient examined using understandable language and / or organization-approved abbreviations
Job Requirements:
Education:
Appropriate Paramedic training course required
Experience:
I year of experience preferred
Skills:
Customer service, medical terminology, ability to remain calm and professional during high stress and crisis situations
Licensure/Certification:
Current Missouri Driver's License (Class E) and an active Missouri EMT-P license
Physical:
