Job Description
Quality Fire Extinguishers LLC is seeking a dependable, motivated Fire Alarm Technician/Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. We provide commercial fire alarm inspections, service, troubleshooting, and installations throughout Southwest Missouri. - Four-day work week
- Some weeks may require an adjusted schedule based on customer operating hours, project deadlines, or service needs. Responsibilities
- Perform annual, semiannual, quarterly, and monthly fire alarm inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair commercial fire alarm systems
- Install new commercial fire alarm systems
- Program and configure fire alarm control panels
- Install and service smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, duct detectors, monitor modules, control modules, and other initiating devices
- Install and test horns, strobes, speakers, voice evacuation systems, and other notification appliances
- Install, terminate, and troubleshoot fire alarm wiring
- Test and inspect systems in accordance with NFPA 72
- Identify deficiencies and recommend repairs
- Coordinate testing with monitoring companies
- Perform acceptance testing with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ)
- Complete inspection reports and service documentation using a company-issued iPad
- Maintain assigned company vehicle, tools, and inventory
- Deliver professional customer service at every job site
- Assist with related life safety services including fire extinguisher inspections, emergency lighting inspections, kitchen suppression systems, security cameras, access control systems, and other low-voltage installations as needed Qualifications
- Experience installing, inspecting, troubleshooting, or servicing commercial fire alarm systems
- Knowledge of NFPA 72 standards
- Experience with Fire-Lite, Silent Knight, Honeywell, Potter, Notifier, Edwards, or similar manufacturers
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or GED
- NICET Level I certification preferred Benefits
