Job Description

The Paramedic role reviews emergency medical systems and provides support in emergency medical situations. Working under general supervision for routine situations, this position manages critical patient care and emergency response, and ensures timeliness of reports and documentation.
Essential Job Function:
Conducts reviews of emergency medical systems and protocols to ensure proper functionality and adherence to established standards. Ensures the quality and timeliness of reports, and records related to emergency medical services to maintain accurate records. Manages employee inquiries and troubleshoot issues requiring policy interpretation, to provide guidance and resolution. Coaches lower-level professionals to support their growth and development. Maintains a high level of expertise in emergency medical procedures, treatments, and technologies to deliver effective patient care. Performs other duties as assigned.

Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
ED/Occ Health:
Required:
1 year of Paramedic experience Carelink.
Required:
3 years of EMS paramedic experience Carelink Transport positions, must have 3 years of EMS paramedic or critical care transport paramedic experience. Carelink relief paramedics must have 5 years of EMS paramedic experience & 1 year of critical care transport experience.
Licensure/Certification/Listing:
Required:
Current valid NC Paramedic certification BLS (CPR-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider ACLS). American Red Cross or Healthcare Provider, Valid Driver's License. If driving a CH vehicle must have minimum 5 years as a valid licensed driver with MVR must be approved by Risk Management. Emergency Vehicle Operator's course completed within 1 year of hire.
