Job Description

Job Summary:
The Bottineau Ambulance District is hiring for part-time Paramedics. The Bottineau Ambulance District encompasses over 1200 square miles in three counties; multiple cities; and numerous campgrounds, trails, lakes, and other recreational areas (including Lake Metigoshe and the International Peace Gardens). As an all-hazards EMS agency, the Paramedic may partake in wilderness EMS, dive/water rescue, ski patrol, technical rescue, and more.
Responsibilities:
The Paramedic is responsible for providing advanced life support and critical care to patients in the emergency and emergency interfacility setting. As the highest licensed provider, the Paramedic acts as crew chief of their shift unit, ensuring clinical, operational, and administrative tasks are completed.
Skills:
Strong background in emergency medicine (critical care preferred) with the desire to practice paramedicine in a logistically and operationally challenging environment with long scene and transport times. Ability to operate emergency vehicles. Capable of heavy lifting and moving patients when necessary. Excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills.
Job Requirements:
NREMT Paramedic certification. ND Paramedic licensure. AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers (or other like certification). AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (or other like certification). Ability to work a minimum of two 24 hour shifts per month. Compensation and Benefits Hourly wage starting at $25.00, increases dependent on experience. College degrees are honored in our wage scale! Continuing education provided through FOAMfrat, ND EMS Association, ND Fire Association, and other opportunities.
Pay:
$25.00 - $33.00 per hour
