Duties Respond promptly to emergency calls, providing advanced medical interventions on scene and during transport. Assess patient conditions through comprehensive physical examinations and vital signs monitoring. Administer medications, injections, and treatments following established protocols while maintaining aseptic techniques. Manage airway procedures and utilize advanced airway management tools to ensure patient breathing stability. Perform patient triage at emergency scenes and prioritizing care based on severity and physiology knowledge. Document all patient assessments, treatments, vital signs, and procedures accurately in compliance with medical terminology standards and legal requirements. Operate emergency vehicles safely under driving regulations, including heavy lifting and physical exertion during rescue operations. Collaborate with hospital staff during hand-offs, providing detailed reports on patient condition and interventions performed. Qualifications Valid EMT certification with experience in emergency medicine; additional paramedic licensure preferred. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and pharmacology related to emergency medicine. Hands-on experience with airway management techniques, venipuncture, medication administration, and blood draws (DME). Skilled in patient assessment through physical examinations and vital signs monitoring; capable of performing urgent care procedures as needed. Experience administering injections and managing complex medical situations in high-pressure environments. Familiarity with trauma protocols such as triage systems. Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely while adhering to traffic laws; physically capable of heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
